Marseille defender Gabriel Heinze has been ruled out for three weeks after suffering a stress fracture to his fibula while on on international duty for Argentina in midweek.

Heinze was injured in a tackle with Germany striker Lukas Podolski during the 1-0 victory for Diego Maradona's side and having undergone scans on Thursday, the club have revealed the extent of the left-back's injury.
Marseille medical staff believe Heinze will be out for three weeks, meaning it will be touch and go whether the former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender will be return in time for the club's first ever League Cup final against holders Bodeaux on March 27.
But Heinze is definitely out of Sunday's home game against Lorient, and the visitors have been boosted by the news that top scorers Kévin Gameiro and Marama Vahirua, who have netted 18 goals between them so far this season, will both be back in contention after recovering from groin and hip injuries respectively.
